Listening to: "Beauty and a Beat" by For When You Can't Breathe

Music is occupying my mind as much as ever right now! As I mentioned in my last post, I'm playing music with other people again, which is just so exciting for me. To commemorate this next chapter of music, I splurged on a new Epiphone Thunderbird bass! A decade or two ago, I used to be a snob about only buying Gibson, instead of Epiphone, but that was silly. Epiphone makes a fine instrument, and this one was available in my favorite color, so I went for it!

If you've read many of these posts, you've probably noticed that reminiscing and nostalgia are things I'm fond of, so here we go again! Back in the early days of my band, You're Among Friends, I owned a 5 string Gibson Thunderbird bass. I sure did love that thing. I consider myself a Fender guy overall, but I've always had a soft spot for a Thunderbird. I must have sold that bass guitar more than 15 years ago at this point. While I have regret about selling an instrument and am hoping I never have to again, I am excited I got to "replace" it with one that is a little more me.

So with that said, I am super excited to debut my new bass at my next gig with the DB Project! I've also been invited to record with a couple of friends from high school next month, so I'm suddenly getting all kinds of action over here as a musician! I think all that's left for this post is showing off a couple photos of my new bass guitar! Enjoy, and thanks for reading!
